So here’s the chapter title for the comic! I figured I should post something comic-related.

Looking back on some of the images on this tumblr is getting seriously embarrassing. They look terrible, now, and I couldn’t even see that before (well, no more than usual). But - it’s great. It means I’m improving, and I’m really pleased with how far I’ve come in such a short time. Gotta keep on going though! <3

Bought Manga Studio for cheaps on Black Friday, woo! It’s amazing for inks. I can’t believe how much better the lines look than on Photoshop.

So comic script is done. Panel list in progress. So much work! But I am enjoying every moment.

So uh, here’re some quick low res webcam snaps of a few pages from my writing book. (Please note I did not include any actual pages of writing or pages which contain sketches that don’t deserve to see the light of day.)

I actually did some proper comic that wasn’t merely storyboards yesterday! It blew. So I’m gonna keep going until the stuff I’m making doesn’t blow. Woo!

So uh, here’s me playing Ladye Nothinge’s Toye Puffe by John Renbourn. I’m actually really pleased with how it’s turned out! Big thanks to dad for setting up the recording and mastering the track.

Listen to it if you want I guess? More comic stuff soon. Got lots of post-it note timelines on the living room wall just now. Mostly been working on story stuff and stupid small sketches in writing books.

Things have been a bit quiet I’m afraid, mostly because we have been busy working on story logistics for the comic rather than arts. I’ve still been sketching but it’s mostly just crappy preliminary sketches not worth scanning. I’ll have a flip through my sketchbooks and see if there’s anything worth uploading soon!

The good news is we have the proper story structure for the comic all figured out! Just a bit more character design and we’ll be ready to start drawing!

On top of that I was away helping out at a guitar workshop in Spain that my dad helps run alongside John Renbourn. We all got to record a song, so I played “Ladye Nothinge’s Toye Puffe” (good name eh?). When dad’s finished mastering maybe I’ll post it on here. If I’m brave enough.

Got a crappy long shift at the deli tomorrow but I plan to get back into the drawing groove once more this week.

So I’ve been battling with the right hand in this one for days. I’ve finally just changed it completely, messed up the shadow and just decided it’s finished because I don’t want to be stuck on this one forever. Figures are so hard. I’ve neglected this stuff for far too long.

He’s also come out looking a bit too sexy, whoops. Pin it on your wall, girls ;)

I am running quite terribly behind on the April drawing, a-whoops! While I struggle to catch up so I can post a bunch at the same time on the drawing blog, here’s one I just finished. The challenge (from several days ago) was to draw a bunch of different facial expressions. So here’s Mauve pulling some faces. He don’t smile much so be glad you got a smirk!

I’d like to do a bunch of these, of Tandy, Bargo and Marie too. Still struggling a bit with the line between cartoony/not all that cartoony (as you can see in the last one).
